The winegrowers' cooperative was founded in 1924 by 30 Jechtingen winegrowers and for a long time the wines were stored in private cellars in the village. In 1962, the newly built cellar at the end of the village was occupied and has since been expanded, supplemented and modernised. In the summer of 2011, a merger took place with the Amoltern winegrowers' cooperative, and since then the Jechtingen-Amoltern am Kaiserstuhl eG winegrowers' cooperative has existed. Today, 340 winegrowers cultivate the 240 hectares of vineyards. In the unique terroir of volcanic rock, clay soils and Mediterranean climate, grapes ripen for more than 2 million litres of red and white delicacies. The balsamic vinegar made from high-quality noble-sweet wine is transformed into a spicy product in a complex process. Fine red and white wine vinegar with the full-bodied bouquet of Kaiserstühl wines are two more delicious Kaiserlich genießen products from the winegrowers' cooperative. The exquisite products wine jelly, sparkling wine jelly are made exclusively from wine and sparkling wine from the Jechtingen winegrowers' cooperative. These thoroughly regional products are also part of the Kaiserlich genießen quality programme. Since the jellies are alcohol-free, they not only go well with a hearty vesper with cheese, but also enrich any breakfast table.
