Guided trekking tours
Guided trekking tours with our expert guides having passed an extra training for the Kaiserstuhl region, are an unforgettable experience, because they show and explain not only the landscape, nature and viticulture, but the regional way of living, too. For more information about these expert guides, kindly look at: www.kaiserstuehler-gaesteführer.de. On the route there are numerous restaurants and overnight accomodations (e. g. Kaiserstühler Weinhotels (local wine hotels) or Kaiserstühler Winzerhöfen (winegrowing estates).
Guided tours through the Liliental
Especially enchanting is the famous Liliental, an arboretum and forestry research center, with its meandering footpaths surrounded by numerous exotic trees from all over the world. Rare animals such as the praying mantis, the emerald lizards and the local bird called the “bee-eater” can also be discovered here. Lava rock, loess and volcanic stones cause botanical species to flourish which are more typical of the Mediterranean region, such as wild cacti and aromatic herbs.
